David Benjamin of The Living and Jonathan Lee of Google will discuss new digital technologies and interfaces, including how building envelopes that register environmental quality could be a new strategy for sustainability.

David Benjamin is Founding Principal at The Living and Director of the Living Architecture Lab at Columbia University GSAPP. The practice and the lab explore new technologies and create prototypes of the architecture of the future. The Living was selected for New Practices New York by the AIA New York Chapter in 2012.

Jonathan Lee is a designer at Google UXA, a design think tank working to develop the next generation of interfaces, behaviors and visual language across the Google platform. Prior to Google he was an Art Director at 2x4, leading the interactive team and designing for a broad range of clients in the fields of art, architecture, fashion and design.
