The Urban Climate Change Research Network (UCCRN), the Bangladesh Environmental Network (BEN), and the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) present Lessons from Bangladesh for a Post-Sandy New York -- A Dialogue with Dr. Saleemul Huq.

In light of Bangladesh's experience with planning for and adapting to the increased occurrence of catastrophic floods, this dialogue is organized to share the lessons learned in building climate and disaster resilience in coastal cities. It will feature experts from Bangladesh sharing their knowledge and discussing how these lessons can be directly applied to New York City.

Introduction: Dr. Cynthia Rosenzweig, NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies and Dr. William Solecki, Institute for Sustainable Cities at Hunter-CUNY

Speakers: Dr. Saleemul Huq, International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and International Center for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) and Dr. Nazrul Islam (Bangladesh Environment Network)

Open to the public. Registration is required.
