Chen Guangcheng, the blind activist lawyer recently permitted to leave China, is currently a visiting scholar at New York University School of Law. Jerome A. Cohen is Professor of Law and co-director of the U.S.-Asia Law Institute at New York University School of Law and was active in securing Chen Guangcheng’s release.

The Center for Public Scholarship is organizing this free University in Exile event.
