Jane McAlevey explains how revolutionary change can come to America. Jane's first book, Raising Expectations (and Raising Hell): My Decade Fighting for the Labor Movement—named the “most valuable book of 2012†in The Nation—tells the story of her successful efforts helping workers form unions at a time when unions said it wasn’t possible. She was the Campaign Director of one of the only successful multi-union, multi-year, geographic organizing campaigns for the national AFL-CIO. Jane writes about organizing and the change process for The Nation.
