3-D Printing and other forms of rapid prototyping are moving into the realm of actual manufacturing. The ability to produce usable objects on a customized basis may well disrupt industry in the 21st century as much as the steam engine did in the 18th. Professor Pablo Lorenzo-Eiroa, Director of Cooper Union's Certificate program in Digital Representation and Fabrication, will discuss the scope of these technologies in the Rose auditorium at 5 pm on February 1. The lecture is free and open to all.
