In 1993, Hans Ulrich Obrist started “do it,†an exhibition in progress that is now twenty years old. This conversation will explore the project’s beginnings, its iterations, and its repercussions in the context of the cultural and political developments of the early ’90s. Massimiliano Gioni is Associate Director and Director of Exhibitions at the New Museum. Kate Fowle is the Executive Director of Independent Curators International (ICI).
