Gary Giddins will interview Scott Anderson, author of the much-discussed bestseller Lawrence in Arabia: War, Deceit, Imperial Folly and the Making of the Modern Middle East, a magisterial new biography that sets the life of T.E. Lawrence amid a vivid history of British colonial conflict. Anderson has reported from Beirut, Northern Ireland, Chechnya, Israel, and many other war-torn countries, and he is also the author of the novelTriage, the nonfiction book The Man Who Tried to Save the World: The Life and Mysterious Disappearance of Fred Cuny, and War Zones, written with his brother Jon Lee Anderson.
