This talk is part of a larger political theoretical exploration of neoliberalism and de-democratization. In this piece, I consider the imbrication of neoliberal reason with a form of governance that now circulates fluidly between public and private sectors, and between knowledge, business, and administration. I also consider how law may become an instrument of such governance. I will argue that neoliberal norms become uniquely difficult to identify or contest when they are buried in the anti-political idiom of governance and "best practices."
