A discussion occasioned by the exhibition of Gillian Jagger, with the aim of considering the artist's contribution, her relevance to contemporary practice, as well as some of the broader issues provoked by her work. Topics to include: indexicality in practice, both historically and currently; pop and anti-pop in the early 1960s; the Anthropocene, the question of 'nature' as a construction or invention; issues of image and identity related to inter-species intersection and understanding; as well as a consideration of all of the above from a feminist perspective.
