Fuat Keyman, Professor of International Relations at Sabanci University and Director of Istanbul Policy Center, will speak on "Hegemony through Transformation: New Turkey and Challenges to Democatic Consolidation."

E. Faut Keyman is professor of International Relations at Sabancı University/Ä°stanbul.  He is also the director of Istanbul Policy Center (IPC) at Sabancı University. He has been as a member of Wise People Commission in the Peace and Reconciliation Talks. He works on democratization, globalization, international relations, civil society, and Turkey-EU relations. Among his recent books are: Democracy, Identity, and Foreign Policy in Turkey   (Palgrave/Macmillan, 2014); Symbiotic Antagonisms: Contending Discourses of Nationalism in Turkey (University of Utah Pres, 2011, with Ayse Kadioglu); Remaking Turkey (Lexington, Oxford, 2008).
