Collaboration in Interactive Cinema with Toni Dove

Hirshon Artist-in-Residence Toni Dove will discuss with collaborators R. Luke DuBois, Art Jones, Leif Krinkle and Karen Young the haunted moments and entangled processes discovered in creating embodied hybrids of film, installation art and experimental theater. Reception will follow.
Toni Dove’s work has been exhibited or performed at ZKM, the Museum of Moving Image, the ZERO1 Biennial, Montreal International Festival of New Cinema and New Media, the Wexner Center for the Arts, REDCAT, The Kitchen, and many other venues and festivals. She currently serves as the 2014-2015 Dorothy H. Hirshon artist-in-residence at the School of Media Studies at The New School.
R. Luke DuBois is a composer, artist, and performer who explores the temporal, verbal, and visual structures of cultural and personal ephemera.
Art Jones is an image/sound manipulator working with film, digital video, audio and hybrid media.
Leif Krinkle has collaborated with artists, musicians and designers from around the world, developing multidimensional media and challenging the potential of traditional art forms.
Karen Young has designed costumes for numerous dance and video art projects in New York and internationally.
