Four months after the uprising in Taksim Square’s Gezi Park began, Baar left NYU and entered a classroom in Ankara, Turkey to teach her course, “Civil Rights and Civil Wrongs: The Fight for Equality in the United States.” How she worked with her students- and what she learned from them- will be the focus of this engaging lecture.
