Panel discussion moderated by Hannah B Higgins, professor of Art History, University of Illinois at Chicago, with speakers Saisha Grayson,PhD candidate, The Graduate Center, CUNY; Sophie Landres, PhD candidate, Stony Brook University; and Joan Rothfuss, author ofTopless Cellist: The Improbable Life of Charlotte Moorman (MIT Press, 2014). These scholars—all specialists  in Charlotte Moorman’s work—will focus on the charismatic cellist who lent her talents and energies not only to numerous performances with erstwhile composer and Fluxus artist Nam June Paik but also to the radical, experimental scene of  1960s and ’70s New York—a pivotal moment in late-20th century art.
