This lecture will describe with notes and images a film that will connect the backyard of a home in Harare, Zimbabwe, the Atomic-Age graveyard in the Tri-Cities in Central Washington, and the collision of black holes predicted by Einstein.
Charles Tonderai Mudede is a Zimbabwean-born cultural critic, urbanist, filmmaker, and writer. Mudede collaborated with the director Robinson Devor on two films, Police Beat (2005) and Zoo (2007), both of which premiered at Sundance—Zoo was also screened at Cannes in 2007. Mudede is also the film editor for The Stranger, a Seattle weekly.
